The article reviews systematically the development about nanometer material, photocatalytic oxidation and disfection and antibacterial material. Analyzes the TiO2 preparation methods, the disfection mechanisms, the new antibacterial application development, and the factors of photocatalytic efficiency. Discusses the sol-gel preparation and improvement of photocatalytic activity.In the exeperiments, the stable TiO2 gel was prepared by Sol-Gel method with Ti(OC4H9)4.The effects of preparation conditions such as stabilizer, catalyst, the heat treatment were investigated. The TiO2 antibacterial property was analyzed and tested by TEM, AFM, XRD, FT-IR, DSC and so on. The TiO2 photocatalytic activity was determined by disinfection experiment.Still further, the research work was described in detail as the following aspects:(1) The preparation of TiO2 sol and powder:The main components of the prepared solution contained of Ti(OC4H9)4, which served as precursor to prepare homogeneous and transparent solution. With different ratio of water, ethanol, catalyst, stabilizer were got. The relationship between factors and gel time was considered. Moreover we concluded the best sol-gel process parameters and prepared a series of TiO2 powders under the different heat treat temperature.(2) The structure and properties of TiO2 antibacterial powderThe powders' strcucture was analyzed by XRD, TEM, ZRY and so on, we confirm the heat treatment of TiO2 gel according to DSC. The results showed that phase transition temperature (Anataseā†' Rutile) varied with the different catalyst and stabilizer. The phase transition temperature depended obviously on the kind of catalysts.(3) The research of TiO2 powder antibacterial activityThe effects of photocatalyst preparation conditions on disinfection were investigated,such as heat-treated temperature, the sorts of catalyst, pH of sol. The results showed that heat-treated temperature and the sorts of catalyst have important influence on the disinfection efficiency. Becaust they can influence the crystal phase and grain size. The crystal phase, grain size, dispersion and uniformity of grain together determine photocatalytic activity.
