Nowadays space frames of aluminium alloy are studied by many researchers. A natural science found was acquired by our team. In this paper, simple components of space frames(thin walled tube) were selected and studied the behavior after axial loading; under different compress velocities and cross sections and lengths, compared energy absorbing ; The results indicated :1)The length of specimens has little effect on peak load; In order to save materials, the shorter specimens should be selected in test if they do not affect intensity of thin walled tube; 2)The specimens of different cross sections have a great differences on the value of stress-strain and the thickness of specimens has much effect on energy absorbing ;3)Under dynamic test, the faster velocity ,the more load of impact; 4)Under four point bending test ,at first deformation of specimen occurred on narrow surface.Simulated behavior of axial compress and four point bending, the result indicated:1)Simulation similar to tests;2) Performances of material, boundary conditions and size of mesh have great effect on simulation.
