This paper reviewed domestic and abroad literature in the field of nano combustion catalysts for solid propellantsJn order to avoid the aggregation of nano particles,reduce the apparent density of metal oxide catalysts,and then improve the dispersivity of catalysts in propellants, supported nano-structured CuO,PbO and CuO-PbO were prepared with porous material as support.The effect of main synthetic factors on the morphology of nano particles was investigated.The results of transmission electron microscopy combined with X-ray diffraction indicated that when urea was used as precipitator, CuO in the samples prepared by well-proportioned deposition method was spindle-like and had the approximate size of 120nm length and 20nm width, PbO was ball-like and had the approximate size of 10nm-20nm;when sodium hydroxide was used as precipitator,CuO had the approximate particle size of 20nm length and 5nm width,the PbO in ns-PbO assembled seriously;and PbO in ns-PbO prepared with NH3H2O was block-like with the approximate particle size from 5 to 30nm,while PbO prepared by ion-exchange method was ball-like and approximate particle size was 50nm averagely.the result showed that active component in the nano-structured catalysts disperse in the holes or on the surface of support.the apparent density of ns-CuO was about one-seventh of common CuO; and the apparent density of ns-PbO was about one-sixth of common PbO.The results of analysis on thermal decomposition of ammonium perchlorate(AP) indicated that l%(by weight) ns-CuO in the mixture of ns-CuO and AP made the decomposition peak temperature at the low temperature zone of AP decrease by 21.8℃ and the decomposition peak temperature at the high temperature zone decrease by 82.1 ℃ ,terminate temperature of thermal decomposition decrease by 89 ℃ ,meanwhile apparent exothermic heat was increased from 1269J/g to 1510J/g;when l%(by weight) of catalysts was added,ns-CuO,ns-PbO and ns-CuOPbO made the peak temperature of the thermal decomposition of RDX decrease by 3.3℃, 4.9℃ and 3.6℃ respectively,which indicating that ns-PbO had the best catalytic effect.Using the burning data of RDX/AP/Al/HTPB propellants with ns-Fe2O3 catalyst, the BP network structure was built and the relation between the content of catalysts in propellant and burning rate was simulated.The predicted burning rate using the trained...
