In this work the synthesization technology of magnetite and maghemite nanopar-ticles were studied and optimized. Magnetite nanoparticles were prepared by the means of co-precipitation and maghemite nanoparticles were synthesized with the method of sol-gel. Nanoparticles were got, which had smaller diameter, more symmetrical distributing and stronger magnetization. Then the surface of magnetic ferric oxides was modified with different modification. Magnetite-silic nano-composite particles were got with tetraethyl orthosilicate as surface modification by the means of chemical deposition. Composite particles containing nano-magnetite and nano-maghemite particles were synthesized with EDTA and DTPA as surface modification. Magnetite-CS and maghemite-CS composit spheres were prepared by the means of situ modification. Different conditions which affect the structure and performance of the synthesized particles were studied and characterized by FT IR, XPS, XRD, TEM, SEM and VSM. Chelating performance of these composite particles with common metal ions was studied by atomic absorption spectrum. Releasing performance of magnetite-silic-aspilin composite particles and magnetic ferric oxide-CS-BBS was characterized by UV spectrum.
