In this paper, the coal in Yunnan, Guizhou and Chongqing are taken as study object, and the content of trace elements in the coal is determined by experiment. Then, the distributive characteristics of trace elements in the different ranks of coal is analyzed and contrasted.Rased on the indoor combustion experiment in muffle, analyze and test the content of trace elements in the burnt products of lignite, fat-coal and anthracite in different burning temperature, and the distributing feature trace elements are analyzed in this paper. The results show that different coals and their burnt products have different contents of trace elements, and the content of trace elements in the burnt products of the same coal is dissimilar, too. In the same burning temperature, the coal in the same coal seam of different parliculate size, which burnt products have different contents of trace elements. So the content of trace elements in burnt products not only have a direct relationship with the contents of trace elements in raw coals but also are influenced by other factors such as the particulate size of coal, combustion temperature (the temperature in muffle), and so on.At the same time, with the infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy, determine the chemistry composing and configuration of three different coals and their burnt products. The results show that the fat-coal has the most kinds of functional group, the combustion temperature and the granularity of coal influence the chemistry composing and configuration of the coal and their burnt products, too.
