Because of its excellent optical and electrical properties, ZAO conductive film has attracted much attention. Compared with the traditional ITO conductive film, ZAO is favored more for the abundance of the materials in nature, simple production procedure, low cost, the absence of toxicity, high thermal and chemical stability. It is natural for it to be regarded as a promising TCO (Transparent Conductive Oxide) material which can be used in panel displays and solar cells, especially in thin film solar cells. ZAO film is a suitable delegate for the transparent electrode in thin film solar cells because its immunity against hydrogen, which is abundant during the production process of thin film solar cells, is better than that of the traditional ITO film which will be turned dark by hydrogen.The large-scale production of ZAO film is now still several miles away from us, which is the result of the impractical instruments and techniques of production, unreliable procedure, irregular depth and components of the film, poor quality of the film and the production parameters that are still not truly the most proper ones. So it is beneficial industrially and commercially to find out the most optimum production parameters by analyzing the relationship between the optical and electrical properties and the production parameters.
