The Activated Sludge Model is developed by international water association.lt describe the process of treatment of activated sludge system by eight biochemical process with matrix.In this paper,firstly,the mechanism, parameters and study status of ASM1 are introduced.And, a computer simulation of operation state of wastewater treatment plant in zhengzhou was carried out.The author have adjusted the parameters of ASM by contrasting the date of simulation and measured ones. And a good simulation and control was obtained in the end.Secondly, on the base of results above.A simulation was carried out to forcast the efficiency of removing pullant in situation that parameters of operation is changed and quantity,water quatity of inflow is changed respectively.Finally, the author have put forward a plan for improving the efficiency of nitrogen removal.The results showed that outflow can reach second level criterion of state, if 1/3 of existing aeration pond was converted to anoxic zone with DO concentration of 0.1mg/L,and the inner cycle mixed liquid rate of 100%.And it can reach first level B criterion of state, if 1/4 of existing aeration pond was converted to anoxic zone.With DO concentration of 0.1mg/L in it, and the inner cycle mixed liquid rate of 100%.We can see from the study ,the technology of computer simulation and mathematic models can be demonstrate their powerful function in design operation of wastewater treatment.
