Yellow River Delta Landscape Ecological Characteristics And Wetland Protection And Utilization

Huanghe delta is the widest, the most intact and the youngest delta both in China and in the world. So it is very important to develop it wisely and strategically. Whereas there have been lots of research and reports about Huanghe delta, those data can not explain the complexity of the delta ecosystem. So in this thesis the author tries to do some primary research about Huanghe delta from the view of landscape ecology.This thesis starts with the eco-geography. It deals with the geography location and history, particularly the change of the river way, the stream and transportation of sands, the flux of the coastline, the current cessation. It also refers to the economic status of the delta. Furthermore, this thesis also expatiates on the basic conception, principles and content of research of landscape and landscape ecology. This thesis emphasizes on the structure, function and dynamic of landscape.This thesis also narrates the type of the landscape of Huanghe delta and points out that Huanghe delta, which includes the shallow sea wetlands, the coast wetlands and the river wetlands, belongs to the wetland landscapen, and discusses the location, area, climate, biodiversity and plants of the landscape respectively.Furthermore, the author illustrates the wetland's features of Huanghe delta ecosystem, including its successions and evolvement, and points out that both positive and negative successions exist because of the affections of pollution, current cession etc. In order to utilize the wetlands sustainedly, I combine with the producing practice, exemplify three cases of how to utilize the landscape ecosystem: 1. the shrimp farming pool above the tidal zone; 2. the artificial multiplication of Meretrix meretrix; 3. the "lotus—fish" farming pool in flood area. These can be the models of developing different landscape area wisely and strategically.Finally, starting from the conceptions of restoration ecology, based on the current situations of the wetlands of the Huanghe delta, the writer furthermore discusses the reasons of the wetlands' degradation, and have mentioned the principles and stratagems, which should be followed during the action of restoration of the ecosystem, and emphasizes that it is a wise decision to enhance the protection of the wetlands of Huanghe delta.
