This paper studied effects of heavy metal ion on toxicity of Paralichthys olivaceus and discussed mainly the following these:①Effects of heavy metal ions on metallothionein concentration in hepatopancreas and gills of Paralichthys olivaceus. ②Effects of Heavy Metal Ions on EROD, GST Acti vi ties in Hepatopancreas of Paralichthys olivaceus. ③Effects of Heavy Metal Ions on SOD, CAT Activities of Hepatopancreas and Gill of Paralichthys olivaceus. ④Effects of heavy metal ions on Na+,K+-ATPase activity of gills on Japenese flounder (Paralichthys olivaceus) .1. Effects of heavy metal ions on metallothionein concentration in hepatopancreas and gills of Paralichthys olivaceus. The results were as follows: The MT concentration in the hepatopancreas and gill are found changing markedy (P<0.05) with sampling time, and the inductive effects of heavy metal ions on Metallothionein concentration were Cu2+>Zn2+. On the effects of two heavy metal ions, the MT concentration of the hepatopancreas and gill of the Paralichthys olivaceus creased evidently at 12th h (P<0.01), the MT concentration of the hepatopancreas inducted by Cu2+ (0.5, 1 mg · L-1), Zn2+ (5, 1Omg · L-1) was up to max at 3d, began to decrease with time passing by, and changed in curvel loci , the MT concentration of the other treatment groups changed stably after 3d, the MT concentration showed significant relation of time and dose- respond relation.2. Effects of Heavy Metal Ions on EROD, GST Activities in Hepatopancreas of Paralichthys olivaceus.According to the studies of the effects of Cu2+(0.1-1.0mg/L) , Zn2+(1.0-10.0mg/L), on EROD and GST activities of the hepatopancreas of theParalichthys olivaceus, the activities of the two enzymes in the hepatopancreas are found changing markedy (P<0.05) with sampling time, but the enzymes of the control groups do not change much. Effects of the two heavy metal ions on EROD and GST activities of the hepatopancreas show that they are maximum at certain times, and all of the metal can increase the enzymes' activities in the hepatopancreas. On the other hand, The two enzyme activites showed significant relation of time and dose- respond relation. The inductive ratio of the two heavy metal ions on the EROD of the hepatopancreas were Cu2+ > Zn2+ , meanwhile the EROD activity had a marked peak separately at the 6th day and 1st day; and the GST activity had a marked peak separately at the 3rd day and 6st day. 3. Effects of Heavy Metal Ions on SOD, CAT Activities of Hepatopancreas and Gill of Paralichthys olivaceus. The results were as follows: The activities of the two enzymes in the hepatopancreas and gill are found changing markedy (P<0.05) with sampling time, but the enzymes of the control groups do not change much. The damage degree by the metal ions in the gill is higher than in the hepatopancreas. The SOD activities of the hepatopancreas dealt with the two heavy metal ions show effects restraining all the time, effects on SOD of the gills show that they are maximum at certain times, and there peaks appeared at 12th h;The CAT activities of the hepatopancreas dealt with heavy metal ions increase before 24 hours and then drop, the effects of two heavy metal ions on CAT activities of the gills changed in undee loci, the CAT activities in all treatment groups of Cu2+ and Zn2+ reached the rock bottom at 12th h then there peaks appeared at 72th h and 24th h separately, On the other hand, the two antioxidant enzymes activities showed significant relation of time and dose- respond relation.4. Effects of heavy metal ions on Na+, K+-ATPase activity of gills on Japeneseflounder (Paralichthys olivaceus) .This paper studied effects of two kinds of metal ion (Cu2+, Zn2+) on Na+-K+-ATPase activity in gills of Paralichthys olivaceus. The results indicated that effects of Cu2+(0.1mg/L, 0.2mg/L, 0.5mg/L, 1mg/L) and Zn2+ (1mg/L, 2mg/L, 5mg/L, 10mg/L )on Na+-K+-ATPase activity were significant (P<0.05) in the primary 6 days, and the change curve of the Na+-K+-ATPase activity had a marked peak at the 24th hour. The Na+-K+-ATPase activity of every group except the lmg/L Cu2+ group became maximum at the 24th hour, then decreased gradually, and became stable from the 6th day to the 15th day. While the Na+-K+-ATPase activity of the lmg/L Cu2+ group became maximum at the 12th hour, and became stable from the 3rd day to the 15th day. At the same time the Na+-K+-ATPase activity of every group of the two kinds of metal ion are markedly different (P<0.05) ,and have a negative relation with the ion concentration. From the 6th day to the 15th day the lmg/L Cu2+ group and the 10mg/L Zn2+ group had an indistinctive differentiation with the control group. Meanwhile the inductive ratio of the two heavy metal ions on the Na+-K+-ATPase activity were Zn2+(1mg/L)>Cu2+(1mg/L) from the first day to the 15th day.
