The yearly output of solid wastes of steel industry in our industry approximates to 1.7 hundred million ton. In the last 20 years, solid wastes of steel are studied and reutilized by colleges and universities, scientific research institutions and steel corporations in different extent, but comprehensive utilization rate is still low relatively comparing to developed country, especially gangue, steel slag, fly ash and industry garbage. Euteophication of water bodies is now a serious environmental issue in the last years, people pay more attention on the removal of phosphorus in waste water.Aiming at above phenomena and issues, this paper studies utilization exploitation and basic theory about converter sludge and steel slag in solid wastes of steel industry. This paper mostly includes four parts:Referring to a great deal literatures, the first part summarizes using actuality and development trend of castoffs in the steel corporation, at one time, and expatiates research and evolution about the technologies of phosphorus removal in the wastewater. The second part is exploitation and utilization about converter sludge and steel slag. The part mostly studies adsorbing capacity and adsorbing mechanism of using converter sludge and steel slag to deal with phosphorus and arsenic in wastewater. The results of experiment indicate that converter sludge and steel slag have good absorbing capability, especially steel slag. In comparison with activated alumina, a traditional adsorbent, steel slag has its advantages in adsorption capability, contacting time of equilibrium and low residual concentration of phosphorus. When added slag is 0.75g/l, the contact time 2 hours, phosphorus concentration 25mg/l and the pH value 6.0-7.0, over 98% of phosphorus is moved, the residual concentration of phosphorus accord with the state discharge standard. The experimental data on converter sludge and steel dregs adsorption of phosphorus in the water fits Freundlich isotherm model. The three part is arts and crafts study of reclaiming iron from converter...
