With the further developing of Jinchuan company in Ganshu province, one important requirement facing the mines in Jinchuan company is to speed up the development of mine. In the long period of production in the company, the second mine district makes every jumping in production operation. But the problem of production efficiency, particularly low blasting efficiency, in the mining process remains far from be well solved. At present, the blasting hole depth of mining working face in the second mining district above two meters still can be laid-out in the from of inclined slot with the disadvantages of about 70% blasting efficiency and lower utilizing rate of blasting holes.Based on lower mining blasting efficiency, the paper makes study on utilizing rate of drilling, slot blasting efficiency, parameters of drilling and blasting, delayed blasting. A series of measures should be taken to the problem. For example, the inclined slotting holes should be designed as spiral lined slotting holes, including large non-charging holes. Drilling bits for the large non-charging holes have been improved through on-site drilling trial. The optimum research is put on layout of slotting holes, the space between the two holes, the charging quantity, and firing sequence. The instrument for stemmed-proof blasting hole and BC-5 equipment for emulsive explosive charging have been improved and put them practice to tackle the problem of holes stemmed. The evaluation and controlling on the hazards of blasting vibration in different mining units provides basis for optimizing blasting parameters in order to diminish the hazards caused by blasting vibration due to excavating and blasting mining units.In conclusion, through the above research, the blasting rate increases from 70% to 80%, the depth of blasting hole from 2m to 2.6m. In addition, the explosive rocket for mine can be studied and applied tosolve the problem of ore pass stemmed so that the safety property and blasting efficiency can be great promoted the application of special blasting in Jinchuan company.
