In this manuscript, we use poly-pyridyl 4,4'-bipyridine, 2,2'-bipyridine and 2- pyridine carboxylic acid and carboxylate ligands to synthesized nine new complexes by different synthetic methods, they are polynuclear metal complexes , coordination polymers and supramolecular complexes, respectively. They are 1.[Cu(o-phth)(H2O)]n 2.[CuK2 (3-nitro-phth) 2 (H20) 4] 3. [Co(3-nitro-phth)(4,4'-bipy)2(H20)3]n 4. [Co3(C9H3O6)2(py)9(H2O)3]5. [Mn3(C9H3O6)3(H2O)12] 6. [Cu(C6H4NO2)2(H2O)]n7. [Ni(C6H4O2)2(H2O)4]n 8.[Cu(pyr)2]9. [Cu(Cu(C10N2H8)1.5 (C9NO4H3) 3(H2O)6].A new 3D network Co3(PO4)2-6H2O is also synthesized by hydrothermal reaction. The Crystal structures of these complexes have been determined by x-ray diffraction.Complexes 1-5 are all aromatic carboxylic acid compounds. Complex 1 is Monoclinic system with space group P-1, it is 2-D network structure made of o-phthalate coordinated to two Cu( II), strong π - π interaction stabilize the crystal structure; Complex 2 is Triclinic system with space group P-l, the crystal structure consists of a centrosymmetric polyuclear [K4Cu2(NPA)4(H2O)8] structural unit, K(1) is KO6 coordination form and K(2) is KO5 coordination mode, four potassium atoms (K1C, K2AE, K1AE and K2C) and two copper atoms (Cu1E and Cu1J) from adjacent structural units build a 6-center metallocycle through bridging carboxylate-oxygen atoms; Complex 3 is Triclinic system with space group P-l, The cobalt ion has a coordination geometry approximated to octahedral, which constitutes of one 4,4'-bipyridyl, one 3-nitro-phthalic acid and two water molecular; Complex 4 builds up by one Co( II) ion with three pydines,. two benzene-l,3,5-tricarboxylic acid and one water molecular, benzene-l,3,5-tricarboxylic acid supply carboxylate-oxygen coordinated to Co and made a 3D network; Complex 5 is a ID chain formed of Mn ion and benzene-l,3,5-tricarboxylic acid.Complexes 6-9 are all aromatic carboxylic acid compounds. Complex 6 is Triclinic system with space group P-l, 2-picolinic acid coordinates to Cu(II) as a bidentate ligand and forms 1-D chain; Complex 7 is Monoclinic system with space group P21n, it is 2-D network structure made of one Ni (II) bonds to two 2-picolinic acid, two coordinated water molecular and two crystal lattice water; Complex 8 is Triclinic system with space group P-l, it is a plane geometry made of Cu bonds to pyrazine-2-carboxylic acid; Complex 9 is Triclinic system with spacegroup P-l, the compound is formed by three Cu (2,6-pyridinedicarboxylic) (4, 4'—dipyridyl) 0.5 (H2O) 2 units. The transition metal phosphate is a important segment of hollow framework phosphate system. A new three dimensional layered cobalt phosphate complex Co3 (PO 4) 2*6H2O, was prepared by hydrothermal reaction of Co (CH3COO) 2-4 H2O and H3PO 3, NH4VO3. The crystal structure of the complex was determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction. The result indicate that it crystallizes in the tetragonal space group I-4m. The title complex is also characterized by IR and TG-DTA.In this paper, the IR studies of complexes 1-10 are consistent with their crystal structures. Moreover, thermal properties of complexes and electrochemical, magnetic properties have been also studied.
