The structure of the automatic burden control system of the compounding slurry from sinter plant was summarized in this paper. The system includes two parts the pre-mixing coal system and the automatic control system of compounding slurry. The former include the coal storehouse building, electronic scale weighting and PLC controlling, whose goal is to mix coal with bauxite in evenness and quantization. The latter contain elementary analysis, quality flow and electronic scale weighting, PLC controlling, computer controlling, whose goal is to analyze samples quickly and exactly, weigh martials exactly, control automatically on-line.The study of the quick determination of the materials by EDXRF from the automatic control system of compounding slurry such as bauxite, slurry, alkaline solution and siliceous sinter etc was mainly presented in this paper. The samples making, instrument parameters, correction of matrix interference and curve etc were obtained. In the side of samples making, the effect of rubbing time and granularity on samples were discussed and the suitable rubbing time and granularity were given. The best analysis parameters were chosen. By selecting the suitable samples matrix and corrections, the working curves of samples were established. The curves were optimized through the method of three standard samples with intensity and consistency. Comparing with other methods and by a lot of product tests, this method have some advantages such as higher sensitivity , better accuracy and wider measure range and so on.
