Assessment of water quality is very important to control water pollutioneffectively. Based on the systematic water quality monitoring results and analysis ofthe assessment model, the water quality status quo and the main factor affecting riverwater quality were found out by using the few representative factors. Furthermore, theconclusion made a basis on the following analysis of water quality change and theintegrate renovation.This paper introduced many water quality appraisal methods and compared withthe main factor analysis method. According to the main factor analysis theory, themain factor analysis model of Xiaoqing River was established. And then the paperstudied the water quality appraisal analysis of Xiaoqing river and the spatialdistribution situation and the changing rule of the water quality of Xiaoqing river andits pollution reason. Finally the preventing and controlling pollution measure wasproposed. The advantage of the main factor analysis method was confirmed by thecomparison with other appraisal methods,By analyzing the data of 2002 and 2003 of Xiaoqing river, several conclusions ofwater quality of Xiaoqing River were put forward.I. The main factor analysis model has obvious advantage in the water qualityassessment. It can not only predigest the assessment factor, but express thecomplicated information by using few representative factors as well.II. The conclusion reveals that the four main factors can represent 80% of theoriginal information. The same conclusion on the water quality of Xiaoqing River isturned out according to other two appraisal methods.III. The water quality of Xiaoqing River was bad on the whole. But it hasimproved gradually in the past years. And the water quality became worse from riversource to backward position of the river. Organic pollution is very serious of XiaoqingRiver. |
