In recent years, horizontal well has been developing as an important method to promote production of oil and gas reservoir development all over the world .So it is necessary to research its reservoir engineering theory and production performance. Using analytic method and nodal analysis, this thesis studies some problems in utilizing horizontal gas well to exploit gas reservoir from petroleum reservoir engineering' angle.Up to now, many scholars have done a great deal of researches on using horizontal well to exploit oil reservoir, including horizontal well filtering flow theory ^ horizontal well productivity theory, etc., and put out many calculation methods for horizontal oil well productivity. In recent years, horizontal well has been wildly used for gas reservoir ' exploitation, so studies of horizontal gas well filtering flow theory, horizontal well productivity and horizontal gas well production system possess important theory and operation significance for establishing reasonable horizontal well development technique policies and proceeding gas reservoir exploitation at maximum efficiency.First of all, this thesis discusses the productivity analysis method for horizontal gas well in gas reservoir with different kinds of outer boundaries, analyses the effect of horizontal well's length, position and anisotropy of reservoir on its productivity. Considering pressure drop of pipe flow in horizontal well bore owing to fluid acceleration, frictional resistance as well as radial-inflow, it couples pipe flow with percolation in reservoir and makes use of nodal analysis method and sets up the productivity analytical model for horizontal gas well. Secondly, the steady-state productivity model for horizontal well in gas reservoir is established. On the basis of solving the model, this thesis elicits the binomial deliverability equation by which absolute open flow potential and inflow performance relationship can be got and we can forecast the production performance of horizontal well in gas reservoir. In the end, on the basis of the theoretical analysis, this thesis explores homologous nodal analysis program. In a word, this thesis researches the horizontal gas well productivity analysis theory and offers a series of approaches and theory references for optimum design, deciding rational working system of horizontal gas well and reservoir engineering.
