The analysis and implementation on the technical improvement for the former production process of TFE 1200 tons per year was given in this thesis. During the process of technical improvement, the vapour-liquid equilibrium data of F22/C3F6 and F22/C2F4 systems was modeled by Aspen plus, and the modeled parameters can be applied to the design of the C2F4 distillation tower with very satisfactory results. The main improvements include:1) The change from the former pipe-pyrolysis-production to the present vapor-dilution-pyrolysis production;2) The means of drastic cooling for pyrolysis gases from the former combination of jacketcooling with pipe-array cooling to the present immerged coil cooling;3) The means of dehydration for pyrolysis gases from the former pipe-array refrigeration dehydration to the present dehydration direct countercurrent contact with CaCl2.4) The elimination of non-coagulated gases from the former condensation separation to thepresent distillation tower separation.5) The TFE distillation unit from three-towers to two-towers.6) New addition of the C3F6 recycle unit and TFE recycle unit etc.The above improvements upgrade the production process of TFE from the points of safety, one-way consumption and environment etc. and ensure its stable running in a long-term.
