W/0 microemulsion can be used as carrier of hydrophilic drug and O/W microemulsion can be used as carrier of lipophilic drug. Drugs in microemulsion can increase the steability and drug action, decrease the toxicity. The thesis emphasis on O/W microemulsions.Firstly, lecithin and tween were used as mixing surfactants to make microemulsions as drug carrier. Pseudo-ternary phase diagrams of microemulsion system were made by dripping water method and electrical conductivity determing. Four groups of microemulsion were chosen using phase diagram. Particle size and it's distribution of these four microemulsions were investigated by means of laser photo-dispersion. Microcosmic form was observed by TEM. The relation of enveloping location of drug and microemulsion was determined by ~1H NMR. From above research, one of these four microemelsions was chosen as chloramphenicol palmitate carrier. The chloramphenicol palmitate microemulsion was prepared and the HPLC examing method was established.The conclusion is as following: 1. The microemulsion prescription was found by pseudo-ternary phase diagrams. There are four systems as follow: (1)10% IPP/Tween-80: E-80(2:1)/ethanol/70%water; (2)10%IPP/Tween-80 : E-80(3:1)/ethanol/70%water ; (3) 10%IPP/Tween-80 : E-80(4:l)/ethanol/70%water; (4) 25%IPP/Tween-80: E-80(2:1)/ethanol/70%water.2. The particle sizing of the four systems above were determined by means of laser photo-dispersion meter. The quality of forming miacroemulsion was characterized. The mean particle size of microemulision and the particle size distributing of microemulision of four systems were as following respectively: (1) 22.9 nm, 0.361; (2)30.2nm, 0.421;(3) 21.0nm, 0.533; (4) 21.2nm, 0.590.3. The microcosmic configurations of microemulsion were observed by TEM.4. ~1H NMR methods were used to determine the situation of model compounds in microemusions, the model compound is solubilized into the hydrophilic shell.5.
