Bease of Schiff base complexes are of great importance in the field of biochemistry,coordination chemistry ,supermolecular chemistry,catalysis,electro -chemistry,etc.,the studies on macrocycle Schiff base metal complexes are paid much attention. Schiff base ligands are developing from simple monodentate ligands to multidentate and macrocyclic ligands.Transition mental macrocycle Schiff base complexes possess special structures,properties and widely uses,such as oxidation-reduction ,catalysis and chemical simulation for biological systems.Therefore,we firstly synthesized and characterized four macrocycle Schiff base ligands and their transition mental complexes .The spectral properties of the Schiff base ligands and their transition mental complexes were discussed as a function of alkyl chain length. This main content is shown as follows:1, Synthesis of mononuclear schiff base ligand L and complexes L-M(M=Mn3+,Fe3+, Co2+,Ni2+,Cu2+,Zn2+)The Schiff base 2,4-dihydroxybenzaldehyde - 1,2 - phenylendiamine L and its metal complexes was synthesized by the reaction of 2,4-dihydroxybenzaldehyde and 1,2 - phenylendianmine.The complexes L-M were obtained by the reaction of ligand L and melt acetate in methanol.The compounds were characterized by 1HNMR,FT-IR ,UV-vis.2, Synthesis of macrocyclic schiff base ligand L1 and complexes L1-M (M=Mn3+, Fe3+,Co2+,Ni2+,Cu2+,Zn2+) (1), Synthesis of 5,5'-Methylene-bis-salicylaldehyde.5,5'-Methylene-bis-salicylaldehyd was synthesized from salicylaldehyde and trio -xane in glacialacetic acid ,and was characterized by 1H NMR. (2), Synthesis of macrocyle schiff base ligand L1 and its complexes L1-M(M=Mn3+, Fe3+,Co2+,Ni2+Cu2+,Zn2+)The macrocycle schiff base base ligand L1 was synthesized using Ca2+ as template inons in methanol. The compounds have been solved by Na2CO3 solution and become free ligand L1. And the macrocycle schiff base base complexes L1-M was synthesized by the reaction of L1 and melt caetate in methanol. The structures of macrocyclic schiff base ligand and compounds were characterized by 1HNMR,FT-IR, UV-vis, Molarconductance analyses.3, Synthesis of new macrocyle schiff base ligands Ln and its metal complexes Ln-M (M=Mn3+,Fe3+,Co2+,Ni2+,Cu2+,Zn2+) (1), Synthesis of dibromoalkyl1,4-dibromobutane was synthesized from 1,4-butanediol.The same synthesis method for 1,6-dibromohexane and 1,8-dibromooctane. (2), Synthesis of 2,4-dihydroxybenzaldehyde2,4-dihydroxybenzaldehyde was synthesized from resorcinol and DMF and dibromoalkyl. The structure was characterized by 1H NMR.
