In the process of wastewater treatment by three phased internal-loop biofluidized bed reactor, most of the microorganisms are fixed on the surface of carriers in the form of biofilm, the other parts exist in the water by the form of suspended flocculation, in which oxygen is provided by aeration, and biofilm carrier is fluidized as water and air turbulence, the pollutant in water is transferred from water to biofilm, at last, the water was purified by further oxidative decomposition of microganisms.Since biofilm carrier is one of the most important factors of the biofluidized bed reactor, we research biofilm carrier at first. Aiming at the disadvantages of other kinds of carriers such as high density, small specific surface area, slow biofilm formation, bad abrasion resistance, hard to form fluidization, high price, hard to get etc., we screened out several kinds of raw materials such as light clay, diatomite and vermiculite etc, changing the proportion and calcination methods to get new kinds of ceramic biocarriers, compared density, energy consumption, raw materials' price etc. with those ceramic biocarriers. At last, with the optimum temperature 1050℃, we got an ideal ceramic carrier: 4#, which had been patented. The pore size inside the carrier is about 5~100μm, which provided a fine microenvironment for microbial attachment and biofilm formation and growth. The biofilm formation experiment showed that, the lighter ceramic carrier taken 3 batches, activated carbon taken 4 batches, rubber taken 6 batches, under the same condition, the lighter ceramic carrier is the best one. Besides, the density of ceramic carrier is around 1.5g/cm~3, it could form a good internal fluidization in the reactor with the aeration of 0.025 m~3/h. The lighter ceramic carrier will be competitive in the aspect of energy consumption and it must going to have a brighter future. After biofilm formation, we carried out continuous wastewater treatment experiment. With the increase of influent concentration, the removal rate of COD reduced little, they were 82.6%, 77.5% and 78.1% and organic loading increased form 2.72kgCOD/m~3.d to 7.26kgCOD/m~3.d; but the removal rate of Ammonia-nitrogen increased with the increase of...
