Bulk Cement Truck Tank Welding Operation Control System

The welding manipulator control system in tank welding of bulking concrete truck is studied in this paper. Meanwhile the system's function and demand are analyzed; by system's total design, hardware design, and software design, the system's development and equipments' debugging are completed. The main research work includes:Firstly, the purpose and meaning of intelligent control in welding manipulator are analyzed in the paper. Moreover, the international situation and developing trend of welding control technology, seam tracking, welding teaching and playback technology, PLC control technology are introduced.Then, seam tracking system, teaching and playback system, PLC techniques in welding are analyzed. Each component's working principle of control system is studied, and the electro circuits are designed. Moreover, the hardware construction and technical data are confirmed.Each control system's program is designed separately in order to realize all the functions of control system. Setting high speed counter, the changed angle of positioner rotation is converted to pulse number by encoder. Via comparison and judgment, the manipulator and positioner are realized real-time control. Thereby, the intelligent control of welding teaching and playback, seam tracking are achieved. The controlling flow chart, rotating sketch drawing of teaching & playback and returning zero point are analyzed, and the menu program of man-machine conversation is designed.Finally, the research debugged welding manipulator totally. All the equipments work well, anticipated demands are reached, and the whole research work is finished successfully.
