With the development of making techniques and the applications of new material, the extrusion techniques are applied the manufacture of gears.The principle of washer clutch has been analyzed in this paper. After analyzing the research and the development and the application of the cold extrusion in the world, it has been analyzed and calculated in the theory for the cold extrusion techniques of the step gear with strange hole (the driven gear of the clutch), the structure of the cold extrusion mould, the factors of impacting on the service life of the cold extrusion die. The cold extrusion techniques for the driven gear have been putted forward. The structure of the cold extrusion die has been optimized and designed. The three-dimensional solid model and plan drawing for the cold extrusion die have been completed with UG Through the experiment of the practical production, the structure of the cold extrusion die is reasonable and has achieved a question for discussion.The result of research are showed that the service life of the cold extrusion die would been enhanced with the proper techniques for the cold extrusion and for the dealing roughcast, with the techniques of the strengthening roughening treatment, with the optimizing parameter of the punch die and cavity die.The technique of the cold extrusion is a advanced producing technique. It is very complicated that the factor restricts the development of the technique of the cold extrusion and the enhancement of the service life of the cold extrusion mould. We should research the factor for the service life of the cold extrusion die with modern means from the aspects of the die material, the material hot treatment, the technique of the cold extrusion , the lubricated way etc. It should very enhance the service life of the cold extrusion mould. It should extend the applying area of the technique of the cold extrusion in the manufacturing of our country.
