The preparation, micro-structure control and structural transferring of nano-metal oxide from complex precursor are studied in this paper. The thermo catalysis performances of nano-metal oxide are also investigated.The valent-variable transition metal oxide V2O5 may complex with multi-dentates heterocycle ligands contained nitrogen, by controlling of pH values in microwave reactor. The obtained complex precursors are heated in high temperature to be V2O5 oxide. Modern characterization method including XRD, Raman Spectrum, TEM, TG and UV-vis are employed to analyze precursors and nano metal oxides.It has been found that the crystal lattice spacing and crystal system may be adjusted by selecting proper pH value. Therefore, nano metal oxides of special structure are possible to be prepared by structural transferring from precursors.Some interesting nano structures are obtained. In precursors, clear layer structures are observed, especially some regular single and double helix nano rod, which are noble self-assemble structure. In metal oxides, interpenetrated porous nano disk and layer nano tube are found. The assemble mechanisms are also studied.The AP decomposition experiments are also carried out with nano V2O5 as catalyst. The catalyzing performance is influenced by particle size and microstructure. For example, nano-sized particles perform better than micro-sized ones, and ball or needle shaped particles perform better than rod shaped ones.
