| In this paper, waste rubber powder (WRP) was used as a filling component to modify the polychloroethylene (PVC) and natural rubber (NR) as well as bitumen, aiming at preparing a composite with high performance. The composites with practical performance were prepared by different procession formula and techniques. Those matrice were also modified by microwave radicalization activated waste rubber powder (MWRP). The relations between mesoscopic structure and properties of composites were preliminary studied. The results show that the process of blending with microwave radicalization activated rubber powder and other base materials presents some advantages, such as low energy consumption, low cost and high utilization ratio of waste rubber powder.1. Study on modification of microwave radicalization activated waste rubber powder (MWRP)WRP were modified with microwave radicalization in various microwave radicalizative condition, and the extent of activation were characterized by surface contact angle, swelling experiment, X-ray energy dispersion spectroscopy, FTIR spectra and so on. The results indicate that the MWRP has the bigger contact angle, the higher average ratio of swelling, and the larger amount of surface hydroxyl and the oxy group, suggesting that it is effective to break the bands of S-C and S-S in the WRP, resulting in the enhancement of surface activation.2. Study on preparation and property of WRP/PVC thermoplastic elastomerThe basic formulation of WRP/PVC thermoplastic elastomer was optimized by adjusting the different crosslinker, plasticizer, compatibilizer and processing technology. In contrast to the traditional adjustment methods, a noverl technology and formula depending on the torque rheometer was developed. The relationship between mesoscopic structure and performance was investigated using Dynamic Mechanical Analysis (DMA). Based on those work, the thermoplastic elastomers compound with... |
