The Virtual design has already become the main development trend of the future products design. This article briefly introduced the conceptof Virtual design technology, forming process and the present development situation, It elaborated the status and developing trend of the 90 degree body cords cutting machine in the nowdays tire business, as well as it's very important role , structure and production process in the product line. . In view of very short service life and frequently changing focus in the cutting blade. I designed a new device independently according to the advanced theory from overseas. Using Virtual design technology and finite element analysis technology in the study of the up-crossbeam, which is key part of the reform project in 90 degree body cords cutting machine. Using the three-dimensional model program- Pro/ENGINEER. One finite element model has be established for the up crossbeam in the cutting machine. Ooptimizing the section size by the way of finite element method. So it cause present a balance point between the economy and reliability. The large scale finite element analyze software - ANSY8.0, Which also be used in the finite element analyzing of static fore character in this text. After runing this analytical program. We got the the model strain chart and changing strain chart undering the stress condition. Our design has been improved according to the analytical results. And we also developi ng the discussing in this new kind of product design from the project.
