Recently, a number of substituted Q[n] have been reported. Institute of applied chemistry of guizhou university has compounded a number of substituted Q[n] and Q[n], and has done a lot of basal work. These offer a very good basis of next study of substituted Q[n] that its importance not only achieves a new substituted Q[n] of ready solubility, but also gives a new route that compounds substituted Q[n]. The most important facet is the way that adds to specific group in Q[n]'s certain location. Then we may let cucurbiturils to practical application.Firstly, synthesis of a symmetrical hexasubstituted cucurbit[6]uril has been achieved by using the diether of dimethylglycoluril and glycoluril.By crystallizing again and again, methylcucur[5]uril have been achieved; Methylcucurbit[6]uril have been achieved by adding dioxane in the solution that after crystalizing; And hexamethyl-cucurbit[6]uril has been achieved by crystalizing again. The structures of this compound is mainly analysized by H1 NMR. In the course of separation with dioxane. The crystal of interaction of TMeQ[6] and dioxane has been achieved, and The structure of this crystal is analysized by single crystal X-ray diffraction.Secondly, methylcucurbiturils and K2S2O8 in 1mol/L HC1 water were heated at about 80℃,we have prepared methylhydroxycucurbiturils. The resultants were analysized by H1 NMR and IR. The product improves the solubility of raw material.Finally, the polymer is prepared through linking up 1,4-pheneylene diisocyanate with Perhydroxycucurbi-turils. IR characterizes the polymer. Because the solubility ofthe polymer is poor, the polymer and the solution of Pb2+,Cd2+ are stirred together. The contain of Pb2+,Cd2+ in solution are mensurated. The intension inspects the absorption of the polymer Pb2+, Cd2+ .
