Pollution Characteristics And Management And Disposal Of Hazardous Waste Left Over From The Three Gorges Reservoir Shut Down Enterprises

The hazardous waste has toxicity, flammability, reactivity, causticity and infection. Since the 1990s, a large number of enterprises have closed down or suspend operations because of various reasons. As the responsibility of management was blurry, the hazardous waste left over had not been innoxious dispose jet. Under osmosis function of the rainwater and ground water, the hazardous waste which had great quantity and complicated sort would pollute water and soil around, destroy the ecological environment, influence people's physical and mental health, and restrict sustainable development. This research aims at studying the pollution characteristic of the hazardous waste left over, put forward rational disposal scheme and manage them well, to the effect that reducing the impact on ecological environment and human health.This paper takes hazardous waste which closed down enterprises, which extend across Chongqing, Hubei in the reservoir area of Three Gorgeses, left over as the research object. In construction of the water control project in Sanxia, a large number of enterprises under the waterline in Chongqing and Hubei have moved, among them a lot of enterprises close down because of many kinds of reasons. These enterprises have good representativenes, as in large quantity, and distributing widely.Through investigation in each county of reservoir area of Three Gorges, combined relevant information offered by department which responsible for managing hazardous waste, we compile the detailed materials of source, quantity, kind, management and treatment of hazardous wastes which closed down enterprise left over. Regard Fengdu, Wanzhou, Yunyang as the research object, we investigated the current situation of pollution by hazardous waste. Confirm the degree of pollution to the surrounding environment through measuring indexes in the soil's lixivium. Analyze the pollution characteristic combined the detailed conditions of the reservoir in Three Gorges and experimental data. Gather the sample of suspected hazardous waste (the chromium dreg), measured chromium in the lixivium, confirmed its property, analyzed its characteristic of pollution. Handle the scheme of the hazardous waste and advanced office procedure both at home and abroad in comprehensive reference, close down the problem existing in the dangerous waste management that enterprises leave over to the reservoir area, put forward the rational and feasible countermeasure of handling and managing, and minimizing the hazardous waste impacted on environment.There are 1599 relocation enterprises in the reservoir area of Three Gorges, among...
