The ZSM-5 zeolite with a ratio of Si/Al (mol) about 90-150, which was used in the catalytic reaction of pyridine bases, was synthesized from Na国2SiO3 and H2SiO3 as silica resources and ethylenediamine or 1,6-hexane diamine as templates. The regularity of the synthesis was studied thoroughly. The effect of some factors such as the firing temperature, the modification mode, the concentration of exchanged solution on the percentage content of the remainder natrium ions and the laden metal ions was studied. The catalyst which is fit for the catalytic reaction of pyridine bases was prepared (the content of sodium less than 0.2%, the laden metal ions about 0.2%3.0%(m/m)).The ZSM-5 zeolites were characterized by XRD, FT-IR, TG, AAS, ICP. The catalytic performances of the synthesized ZSM-5 zeolites which were treated through characteristic-transformation were studied through the aldehy-ammonia condensation reaction under certain conditions. The results showed that the prepared ZSM-5 zeolites have good catalytic activity. The reaction mechanism of ZSM-5 zeolite was discussed. The following conclusion was proposed with related evidences. The crystallization process of ZSM-5 zeolite follows the mechanism of liquid phase change in the reaction system with the mixture of sodium silicate and silicic acid as silica resource and ethylenediamine or 1,6-hexane diamine as templates.
