Jiuxiang iron mine locate inside Jiuxiang scenic areas, regard hematite and limonite as principle of red iron ore, with a grade of above 55%. Most of the mineral is to process specification ore to sell by private mine. Leave now a pile of process a powder mineral in specification ore, this part of powder mineral on the one hand results in the waste of resources, on the other hand also be polluting the environment of Jiuxiang scenic areas, so this part of powder minerals pass to choose a mineral research to take in to make use of not only of the utmost urgency but also the meaning is important.First, experiment is carried on the research of ore'cy, including spectrum analysis, chemistry multi-elements analysis, phase analysis and size distribution analysis. Through the research of the ore'cy, make sure that the purpose mineral in the original mineral is Fe, the grade of Fe is 41. 80 % for the original mineral, the iron ore is mainly made up the form of hematite and limonite (account for 88. 04% of whole iron comparison). The result of size distribution analysis expresses that the high account for 90.84% of the produces of size above 0. 5mm at the coarse fraction. The grade of Fe is higher in produces of size above 1.0mm , more than 40 %. The aspect of metals distribution analysis is that the accumulation of metals distribution at the coarse size is also be far larger than finely degree's, the accumulation of metals distributes of the size above 0. 5mm at the coarse fraction to be up to 96. 34%, it is elucidated that the iron in the ore is principally distributed in the size above 0. 5mm.Second, Make a experiment of grinding, the condition with -0. 074mm have under 95% can get the best index. At the best condition of grinding, the experiments is carry on the flowsheets of wet magnetic separation, magnetic-gravity concentration separation and two kinds of roasting- magnetic separation. The index of wet magnetic separation is that the percentage of max-concentrate yield accounts for 36.00%, with a grade of 59. 21%, and arecovery of 50.98%. The index of magnetic-gravity concentration flowsheet separation is that the percentage of max-concentrate yield accounts for 60. 03 %. The index of reduction- roasting- magnetic is that the percentage of max-concentrate yield accounts for 42. 70%, with a grade of 68. 04%, and a recovery of 68.53%, what is better than another roasting- magnetic way.It is find that the iron is mine distributed in the sizes above 0. 5mm from the research of ore' cy, and the accounts of the sizes is very high. So it is carry on the flowsheet that sample is classified and then separated by dry magnetic through no-gravity concentration. The sample is classified +7mm, -7+3mm,-3+1mm and -1+0. 5mm sizes to the next separation. Make sure the best index of carrent and intermission through condition- experiment. The tailings of dry magnetic of +7mm, -7+3mm, -3+1mm is crushed and separated. At last it is get the index that is the percentage of max-concentrate yield accounts for 38. 32%, with a grade of 56.60%, and a recovery of 51.88%.The conclusion, through the contrast of the flowsheets such as wet magnetic separation, magnetic-gravity concentration separation and two kinds of roasting- magnetic separation at grinding and the flowsheet that sample is classified and then separated by dry magnetic through no-gravity concentration, is that the best index is attain to the flowsheet of reduction-roasting-magnetic-reduction, but is negated for the high requisitions at building, investment of equipment and environment. And through the flowsheet of classified and separated by dry magnetic through no-gravity concentration, the ore has no- grinding. So the flowsheet with simple, little-investment, short-week building, quick-reclaim of investment and little environment demolition. For the condition of the area, the dry-magnetic flowsheet is suitable.
