The article brings up the necessity of investigating double-function treated compound products from perspective of enhanced oil recovery and economic benefits based on the study of the tertiary oil recovery, and the feasibility of the research and develop the modified natural carboxylate products based on the previous study of the group. The natural carboxylate products with the properties of material-renewable, cost-low and environment-friendly were gained. The product with the best activity named SDC-C-1 was gained after the primary screening to the modified nature carboxylate products. Then the products suitable to the use in the oil field was gained after the investigation of the balance interfacial tension, the dynamic interfacial tension, the phase behaviour of the flooding system, the static adsorption of the flooding system and the laboratory simulation flooding experiments. Also, the product gained was used in the Huabei oil field and the research of the viscosity reduction of the heavy oil in the laboratory and the relatively good results was achieved. Based on the research it is found that the modified agents with dual-function of flooding and viscosity reduction for heavy oil can engender a obviously synergistic effect with the other caboxylate products, which provides conditions for the cost reduction of the flooding system or the system of reducing viscosity by emulsification.
