After studying the test report of different area nickel ore to Jin Ping, on the basis of these nickel ore common character, this paper analyzes the influence of nickel-pyrite, chalcopytite, magnetism pyrite and gangue mineral from the different area nickel ore which produces to the selective separation technique and the recovery rate of nickel mineral in Jinping, These research provided the valuable reference for nickel ore development in Jin Ping.The different area nickel mineral of Jin Ping is the low-grade ore. The run of mine contains nickel arriving at 0. 64% range inner in 0. 30%. Nickel mineral is the main recovered element in mineral processing. The ore is composed of 30 kinds of minerals, the nickel mineral is mainly nickel-pyrite and the gangue minerals are chlorite, talc and so on. In different nickel ore samples, the main mineral in every sample to the index of nickel has nickel-pyrite, chalcopytite, pyrrhotite and the gangue mineral giving first place to the chlorite. The relation among mineral is complicated: Nickel-pyrite and chalcopytite are existing in sulphide form, they are spreading fundamental similarity of characteristic in the different area nickel, but crystal size of mineral is different, index effect is bigger in having different nickel-pyrite contents and the beta-oxidation; The main mineral of nickel-pyrite and chalcopytite are wraped or incrusted in the pyrrhotite by the tiny granular, or adjoin pyrrhotite, the beta-oxidation of pyrrhotite happened, these affected the index of nickel ; the gangue mineral, which Contains silicon and magnesium, has degree of hardness lowly, the proportion small, the partial minerals have the good flotability, they produce sludge during rubbing and garrulous ore, these also have influence on the recovery rate.The report of mineral composition and the classification technique showthat: The sole flotation circuit surpasses other flowsheet, and this is carryedout to the different area nickel ore; this process use xanthate-type ascollector, Na2CO3 combined of CMC and Na2SiO3 as regulator, and terpineol asfrother. Under the sole flotation process condition, these medicament is used,the recovery rate of nickel ore meets the industry requirements.
