The nickel ore of JinPing No. 1 lithosome is composed of bearing copper-nickle sulphide, which has a high content of silicium, magnesium and iron etc. It belongs to refractory low-grade ore. The raw ore is composed of more than thirty different kinds mineral. The main metallic minerals have twelve kinds and account for 23.712% of all. They are nickel-pyrite, pyrrhotite, magnetite and chalcopyrite etc. The main nonmetallic gangue minerals have enighteen kinds and account for 74.218% of all. They are chlorite, mica, illite, serpentine, talc, quartz, calcareous spar, and fluorite etc. The target mineral is nickel-pyrite that has embedded size odds and dispersive, and the nonconcentrated nickel accounts for 14.33% of all. The difficulties of this ore separation technology are as follows: Firstly, some gangue minerals deteriorated condition of the ore separation because that they are soft, easy to be ground overly and production of slimes. Secondly, it is granule and minuteness wrapped or incrusted between nickel-pyrite and pyrrhotite, and difficult to separate. So, the research tested flotation —gravity concentration, flotation—magnetic separation and flotation flow in order to recovery effectively nickel mineral, simultaneous consider cost of economy and environment protect . The experimental study shows, the effect of flotation flow is the best.In the condition of the grind fineness is 75%-200 mesh, experimentation is carrying out. This process use Na2CO3 as regulator, the depressor combined of CMC and Na2SiO3, the collector combined of butylxanthate and ethylxanthate, and terpineol as frother, then a good flotation index is obtained. In the process we find that the temperature of pulp and the reaction time of flotation reagent have a great influence on flotation. The undeslimed flotation flow can reduce losing of fine-graded nickel minerals. The technologies of separating by refractory or free-milling ore can avoid grinded nickel minerals loss in flow cycle.On the base of open circuit flow, the two kinds of closed circuit flow-sheet can get the satisfied index. When the contain of Ni is 0.634% in the crude ore, we can get the index that the grade of Ni concentrate is 3. 03% and the recovery of Ni is 72. 05% through the closed circuit flowsheetI;We can get the index that the grade of Ni concentrate is 3.03% and the recovery of Ni is 73.03% through the closed circuit flow-sheet II. To this ore samples, the closed circuit flow-sheet II is the best way.
