As the importance attached to the environment protection, the formulation of the pesticide in and abroad is becoming no pollution. At present the formulation of the pesticide in our country is laggard. Old formulation emulsifiable concentrate and wettaeble powder which are the two main formulation, are not only simplex but also infectant. Mecroemulsion of which solvent is water is stable, good dissolving and transfer. It is one of the best conformation to replace the emulsifiable concentrate. This paper demonstrated the importance and the conformation of the pesticide microemulsion.1,Because of the large amount of toluene dimethylbenzenexylene etc in the typical pesticide, the pesticide is hard to degrade. Compared with the emulsifiable concentrate the microemulsion which consist of little organic solvent is safe and no pollution. The efficiency of microemulsion is 5%~10% better than emulsifiable concentrate. This paper also described the development of the microemulsion pesticide in and abroad.2,This paper described the choice of pesticide solvents and the drawing of phase diagrams, and generalize sixteen sorts of pseudotertiary phase diagrams. According to the different characteristic of the systems, suitable phase diagrams were chosen, building the bases for the experiments utilizing an orthogonal design. The advantage of the experiments utilizing an orthogonal design in screening pesticide microemulsion formulation was introduced. According to the experiments utilizing an orthogonal design, the major factor and the appropriate amounts of every factors can be determined, and the program of next step of experiments can be guided, until getting the optimum formulation.3,Following imidacloprid, thiamethoxam is another important contribution in chemical pesticides. In this paper, we measured the solubility of thiamethoxam in several microemulsion systems. At the guiding of phase diagrams, this paper explored the formulation of its microemulsion systems, drew up its pseudotertiary phase diagrams, and systematically studied its phase behavior according to the experiments utilizing an orthogonal design and using the bargain and efficient power natural carboxylates as the major emulsifiers,. From the UV spectrum of thiamethoxam, together with its molecular structure, we speculated the reason that thiamethoxam separated out from the microemulsion systems and the mechanism of its possible hydrolyzation reaction. The formulation and the preparation of the thiamethoxam microemulsion systems were determined.
