Recently, the crystal engineering which based on investigation of the structure information is the junction of chemistry, material science, biology and physics, etc. And it's one of the active investigation fields. This paper based on the concepts of supramolecular and crystal engineering, prepared thirteen crystals under hydrogen bonding,π…πinteraction and coordination bonding force, which three N-heterocyclic compound of 1,4-bis(N-imidazole)butane (L1), 2-phenyl-imidazo[4,5-f]1,10-phenan- throline (L2) and 4,4'-bipyridine were used as original materials.Eight crystals were obtained through using flexible compound L1 as materials. 2L1·(benzene-1,3,5-triol)·H2O;2(L1)·4(biphenyl-4-ol);L1·(4-hydroxyphenyl nitrate);(H2L1)·2(I3)·L1 ; (H2L1)·[ZnCl4]·L1 ; [CoL12(H2O)2]0.5·(NO3) ;[CoL12(H2O)2]0.5·Cl·H2O; [CoL12(H2O)2]0.5·(NO3). The hydrogen bonding interaction between L1 and species of hydroxybenzene, and between protonated L1 and halogen, and between anion and cation skeleton were researched respectively. In the eight crystals, we can find that the conformation of L1 is different and the length of alkyl chain is 4.4A-6.3A approximately。In this paper, we used rigid compound L2 to prepare three crystals: (H2L2)·2(Cl)·2H2O; (H2L2)·(C4H4O4); [CuL2(CH3CO2)2H2O]·3(H2O)·(CH3CH2O H). L2 is aπ-conjugated molecule that containing four N atoms, and itself is either donator or accepter of hydrogen bond. So L2 can build up stable hydrogen bonding crystals. In addition, we found that theπ…πinteraction has a large effect on the crystal structure. And the two crystals that are one-dimensional chain were also obtained with 4,4'-bipyridine: [Co(4-bpy)2(H2O)4][C10H8O6]·0.5(4-bpy)·2H2O;[Co(4-bpy)2(C9H7O5)2 (H2O)2]·2H2O. And the three-dimensional network were obtained via hydrogen bonding interaction.
