This dissertation concludes two investigative field, that part one: analysis of pindololand propranolol enantiomers by RP-HPLC with chiral stationary phase; part two is aboutmodification of fly ash researching on wastewater treatment.In part one: To develop an enantiomeric separation method of pindolol and propranolol byHPLC, using CHIRAL PAK~R AD-RH column as chiral stationary phase. The effects ofmobile phase constituents, the content of buffer solution, pH value, temperature of columnand flow rate were investigated, then made sure the system and condition to prepare them.The reliable data was offered to prepare different quantity ofpindolol and propranolol.In part two: To improve efficiency of treatment with wastewater by fly ash, then studythe new way to use modified fly ash. We got seven modified fly ash with the high added valueby acidification, hydrothermal synthesis and ion exchange method, then compared theabsorption property after modification. The modified fly ash was used to treat the dyeingwastewater. Ca-modified fly ash was best, the COD removal efficiency was over 66.3-81.9%,the efficiency of decolourization was over 71.0-99.4%.
