In order to adapt itself to the changed external environment featuring "custom, competition and change", the traditional management is urged to undergo reformation. The orientation of the reformation is to strengthen the value chain management, to reengineer the business process and enhance the core competitive capacity. YCFC, as a large-scale traditional corporation, also faces the issue of reform in order to confront the challenges and competitions from both home and abroad in a more confident manner.Purchasing and supply management is an essential part in the value chain management, it is not only the first step in production funds and resource investment, but also the influential factor to the production cost and cost control. The traditional purchasing and supply management of the state-owned corporation serious hinders the reduction of the cost. Using the value chain method to improve purchasing and supply process becomes an unneglectable task for YCFC. The author of the paper probes the existing problems in the purchasing and supply management, puts forward the scheme of purchasing and supply process reengineering through BPR method.
