Choline chloride, one of Vitamin B group drags, is an important feed additive. It was used in feed and pharmaceutical industries.There are two methods of choline chloride synthesis that are by using epoxy ethane and chloroethanol. Choline chloride self-catalyzed method is more practical just because it could be done without the epoxy ethane material and consideration of the catalyst recycle. In the past, most of the reports focused on the studies of optimizing technological conditions of synthesis and productive rate. Few reports focused on the studies of reaction kinetics.This project verifies the self-catalyzed characteristic of synthesis of choline chloride from chloroethanol by studying the changing rale of concentrations of reactants and products during the process of synthesis of choline chloride by using self-catalyzed method. During the process of studying,the series of this reaction was understand,n=2. Also, the kinetic equation was concluded, the form of differential coefficient as following:the form of integral as following:During the process of concluding the kinetic equation, the activation energy of this reaction was counted, Ea=10870.6440J/mol.This equation was also verified and the results indicated that the results from equation confirm the results from the experiments. The perfect degree of confidence was 0.986. This study provides the theory foundation for production design of synthesis of choline chloride in industries.
