Theβ-hydroxyalkylamides employed in this thesis is a aew kind of curing agent forcarboxy polymers, which has drawn people's attention greatly because of its more superiorproperties compared with traditional curing agent, in particular its properties of savingenergy and environmental protection, thereforeβ-hydrox yalkylamides is regarded as theone of future directions of developing powder coating for carboxy polymers.Firstly, this paper focused on the way and the preparatory technology ofdimethyladipate that was the raw material forβ-hydroxyalkylamides, and then focused onthe reaction mechanism of the esterification of adipate and methanol using potassiumbisulfate, which provided the theoretical basis for the synthesis of carboxylie esters.Meanwhile, it was found that KHSO4 had lower causticity to the equipment and it could bereused cyclically on the premise of keeping high catalytic activity for the reaction.Secondly, this paper studied the method and preparatory technology of N,N,N',N'-tetra(β-hydroxyethyl) adipamide as powder curing agent. The solid hydroxyalkylamides wasprepared by using carboxylic alkyl esters with alkanolamines at controlled reactioncondition. And the parameters were confirmed by the orthogonal experiment. The totalyield was above 94%. Based on this research, five types ofβ-hydroxyalkylamides was alsosynthesized in similar condition. Finally, the synthesis routes of synergistic amine werestudied. And a new method that was prepared by phase transfer catalysis(PTC) wasdeveloped in order to achieve the goal of lowing the production cost and promotingproduct utilizable efficiency.Parts of the structures of the compounds have been analyzed and certified by1HNMR, IR, and GC.
