The curing agents ofβ-hy droxy alkylamides are widely used and concerned in polyesters owing to their low toxicity, high efficiency, economy and ecology compared with traditional curing agents, it is considered as the one of future directions of developing powder coating.Firstly, this paper focused on synthesis and process of N,N,N',N'-tetra (β-hydroxyethyl) adipamide based on single factor experiments, orthogonal experiments under ratio of stoichiometric coefficient. Synthetical process is analysised by GC and LC;The final yield is above 90%. Before the process, The solubility data of N,N,N',N'-tetrakis (2-hydroxyethyl) adipamide are experimentally determined by the equilibrium method, which provide the experimental reference for the synthesis and process technology.Secondly, the "5R"principles are used to guide the design of green technology innovation, ultimately reducing costs and energy, realizing the cycle of raw materials and the purpose of turning waste into treasure, obtaining high yields and purity products.The technology is simple and can be put into industrial production easily.Thirdly, yellowing of N,N,N',N'-tera (β-hydroxyethyl) adipamide limits application. In this papper, synthesis of several other curing agents which consist of N,N,N',N'4-tetrakis (2-hydroxyethyl)-1,4-Cyclohexanedicarboxamide, N,N'-bis(2-hydroxyethyl)adicarboxamide, adipicdihydrazide,1,4-cyclohexanedicarboxylic, adipic, 1,4-dihydrazide,N,N,N',N'-tetra (epoxy propyloxyethyl)adipamide, p-phthalic diglycidyl ester. Achieve good results.
