Central air condition, the important equipment in modem buildings, can not only control the temperature and the humidity but also play a vital role in the purification of indoor air. Air condition performance and the use of air condition have a close link with indoor air quality and people's health. Based on analyzing the publications in this research field, caning into execution of a social survey, this thesis measures the indoor pollutants in locale, proposes new ideas of improving air quality and controlling pollution and points out that it's imperative to improve air quality in air-conditioned environment.On the basis of a systemic study of literatures in this field related, the thesis summarizes the study background of the subject, the development of air condition at home and abroad and the research process on indoor air quality. The thesis expounds the main content, purpose and practical significance of the research and points out air-conditioned environment is close linked with people's health.Beginning with related conceptions of air-conditioned environment and social survey, results this thesis selects fan-coil central air condition that is the most common in our life as the study object. In this thesis, we focus on analyzing and researching of the occurrence and variety of the indoor aerosol pollutants such as inhalant particulate matter, microbe. We have 49 air-condition users visited and investigated and record of the equipment in use and maintenance. We select six air-condition rooms of a complex building in Jinan city as the monitoring object and have a field monitoring of the concentration variety of aerosol pollutants in five air-condition condition, while record of the relevant environmental parameters (temperature, humidity, staff activities, etc.)After collecting and analyzing the field monitoring data, we find the relationship between air-condition operating conditions and the concentration of indoor inhalant particulate matter and microbe, analyze the affection of pollutant concentration by the indoor temperature, humidity, and other environmental factors, explore the settlement and distribution of indoor aerosol pollutants in the breathing zone, point out that the indoor purifying effect of the fan-coil central air condition is now not obvious and there are pollution sources inside.Finally, we analyze the six current purification technology used by the central air condition and note the merits and shortcomings of every technology. We describe the shortcomings of the fan-coil central air condition and improvement ideas. In this thesis, we point out the improvement ideas of introducing electret fiber filters and ultraviolet disinfection equipment at the end of the fan-coil tube, also have the theoretical analysis. That provides the basis and reference of enhancing the purification efficiency of air condition and improving indoor air quality.In conclusion, the problems of indoor air pollution caused by central air condition have aroused people's attention increasingly. People will gradually standardize the use and maintenance of air condition. The fan-coil air-conditioned terminal air purification system will become better and better with the improvement of science and technology.
