At present, the pipeline industry is in its prime period.The need of the pipeline steel for transporting oil and natural gas is uprising with increasing demand on energy source and rapid development of energy industry.At the same time,the requirement of its quality and property is improving as well.The pipeline steel is not only of high strength,good toughness,fatigue,fracture resistance,and corrosion-proof ability,but also of excellent weldability and processability. When we use conventional hot rolling to produce pipeline steel, the reheating condition affect the prior austenite and the solution of the micro alloy elements directly, further more, it will influence the size of recrystallized austenite, the number of the precipitation and the state of carbonitride; the key point of hot rolling is controlled rolling and cooling, the different parameters will influence room-temperature microstructure and the quality of product. In recent years, our country has put operation into the hot rolling production line has reached more than 10 .Thus, research on the deformation characteristic of including Nb low carbon sheet with TMCP is important to that on producing microalloyed pipeline steel.But mixed-grains phenomena is a very common problem in X60 Nb-Microalloyed pipeline steel. This seriously affected the performance of the product.In order to eliminate mixed-grains phenomena, it is very important to study the mechanical and metallurgical behavior of Nb in Hot Strip Mill process.The study was based on X60 Nb-microalloyed pipeline steel of Sha Steel Corporation. The research is made around the three aspects of following:(1) Evolution of microstructures in X60 pipeline steel;(2) Study on character of recrysraltization of X60 pipeline Nb-microalloyed steel;(3) Technologic optimization of manufacturing X60 pipeline Nb-microaloyed steel.The above work provides the oretical basis for scheduling proper process of rolling X60 pipeline steel. By optimizing rolling process and adjusting chemical compents, X60 Nb-microalloyed pipeline steel can be produced steadily on Hot Strip Mill line of Sha Steel Corporation.
