In order to solve the problem of metal corrosion, the people are studying a sort of feasible plan which is both the economical and no-contaminative at all times. The coating anticorrosion relied on constructing simply, the low-cost, good anticorrosion and so on, already obtained the considerable development. Recently people develops the inorganic rich zinc coating has the infinite potential. In certain scope, the inorganic zinc-rich coating occupies the proportion is small. The inorganic zinc-rich coating has the non- pollution, the environmental protection characteristic obtained people's agreement.This paper expound the development, type and merit of the water-inorganic rich zinc coating. Give a presentation of reagent, equipment, apparatus, experimental technics and performance testing. According to Silicon chemical theory, the performance of water-solubility silicate zinc-rich coating depends primarily on the following two aspects: First, by increasing silicon content to increase the speed of solidify and Cross linking degree; Second, through increasing the molar ratio of the alkali metal silicate, the reaction activity increased.Designing the experiments, we through adhesion, corrosion resistance, the application period, construction facility and so on, to measure performance optimization of coating formulations. These factors that affect performance contain: Modulus, ingredient proportion and process conditions, the ratio of solid to liquid and the selection and usage of additives. After large number of experimental studies, we study on metal powder (zinc), binder and technological conditions.Through studying on the Preparation Process of water-borne inorganic zinc-rich coating, which focusing on the infection of zinc powder proportion, and experimental design that silica sol preparation high modulus silicate to determine the best Coatings Formulation. By scanning electron microscopy and Electron Spectroscopy analysis, conjecture anti-corrosion mechanism of the water-borne inorganic zinc-rich coating. the discussion from material to baking conditions could determine the water-borne inorganic zinc-rich coating will become new coating era, completely replace the hot-dip zinc and galvanizing, to gradually replace the organic pollution of more anti-corrosion coatings.Water-inorganic zinc-rich coating as a new type of environmental protection coating, the environmental temperature and humidity have an effect upon the condition of construction and solidify , lower construction conditions without affecting its Corrosion Protection will still need to carry out deep research and development. But the economic superiority and will promote its further development. Market will be further open.
