High-purity micron spherical silica is not only an important supporting material of some high-end industries such as Electronic information, but also important filling materials on the aspects of ceramics, new paint, cosmetics and so on. It is of important value.Early the basis of applied researches had been done aimming to identify and optimize the preparation and the corresponding technology. In this paper, spherical micron-sized Silicon dioxide powder had been prepared by the emulsion method. By the means of SEM, XRD, laser scattered particle analyzer, etc., the morphology of spherical micron-sized Silicon dioxide powder was studied. Also the structures of spherical micron-sized Silicon dioxide powder and particle size were detailed studied. The temperature, stirring speed, aging time, and other factors which affect the particle size and size distribution of SiO2 powder had been discussed. The optiml conditions for the process had been determined. By controlling these factors smooth surface, good spherical and uniform size distribution of monodispersed and spherical ultrafine SiO2 powder had been prepared. The effects of condition under the condition of sulfuric acid and acetic acid, such as reaction temperature, stirring speed and different ratio of main stuff in the reaction of emulsion method, were studied. Small-scale experiments showed that the products prepared from sulfuric acid and acetic acid were basically the same on the aspects of morphology, structure, size and size distribution. The particle size was between 1025um. However the best scheme was obtained by further experiments. The conclusion was sulfuric acid was more suitable than acetic acid for enlargement production of spherical silica, the best ratio in 30L enlargement production experiment was water:diesel=45L: 100L, emulsifier(Twwen-80+Span-80):oil=40g/L(oil), sulfuric acid(5%):diesel=30L:100L, reaction time was 6h, reaction temperature was 35℃, stirring speed was 500 r/min.Temperature, calcining time to granule morphology and particle size was studied. The conclusion was the best calcining temperature was between 1700℃to 1900℃. The laser particle analyzer was taken to analyze the average particle size and particle size distribution. Then, In order to improve the performance such as density, particle size and spheroidic ratio, high temperature calcinations was used to dried spherical silica. The effect of the calcining tribution was narrow. Uniform distribution of particle of micro grade spherical silica can be prepared by controlling process conditions.
