The manhole cover is essential in the modern urban construction of the municipal facilities. It shoulders the transport, insurance investigations, security and other responsibilities, as the quality of manhole cover has direct impacts on their functioning. In this paper, the study of polymer matrix composites manhole cover is a kind of composite materials manhole cover which is a polymer matrix composite manhole cover at high-pressure and low-density. Used waste plastics with some percent of waste foundry sand and other materials to compound, compared with other traditional one(cast iron manhole cover and concrete manhole cover, etc.), It possesses many performance such as heat-resistant, cold-resistant,corrosion-resistan-t,anti-sound,bullet-proof,anti-aging, anti-impact,longevity, install facilities, non-polluting and many other advantages, and the material itself is compounded from the waste essentially, while there is no recovery of value to other industry. It is a fundamental solution for the phenomenon of manhole cover stolen, in addition, it can save a lot of cast iron resources and changes waste into line with the country on the natural resources of the objective requirements of sustainable development, to be of a great significance.This paper use large-scale finite element analysis software ANSYS as a tool. TheΦ600 polymer-based composite material inspection is carried on the statics analysis, fatigue analysis and optimization of the structure design, drawing some reasonable conclusions. First of all papers of the examination covers a static mechanical analysis which showes that under uniform and static load, the force situation of covers is relatively complex. The part of covers and circle contacting bears stress mostly, while it strengthens the pull stress of the tendon and the end of the tendon. By analyzing the stress the cloud picture we can see that the pull and press stress of covers bearing are in the finite strength range, and the maximum deflection is in the center of the plate covers. The pull stress is close to the materials Tensile strength, and the press stress is still far less than the compressive strength of materials, so the anti-tensile strength is the most sensitive factor of the materials failure. Fatigue analysis collects data on traffic flow of a four-lane in 12 hours in some city, that we can get the load spectrum of the covers fatigue analysis, according to curve of covers the fatigue characteristics, and we get he data of the fatigue analysis. The results show that covers the cyclical bearing the cyclical load, the main points of the risk of fatigue in the covers is strengthen tendons at the bottom of the end, the junction of the strengthen tendons at the bottom and some stress on the site. The largest deflection also appears in the center of the plate covers.At the same time, the fatigue analysis also elicits that the fatigue life is 15 years, the fatigue factor of safety is 78. 7%, Which offers another valuable data for optimizing the design. Two optimizing methods are used comprehensively in the optimal design,shape optimization compares four different structures of covers force deformation characteristics, with the quality to be minimum, and uniformity to be the principle, that we get a more reasonable shape--Well Strengthen the gluten structure of the word. Parameter optimization takes the first stress and the minimum displacement as stress, using displacement constraints, to change the geometric parameter of covers, structure for achieving the optimal structure. The two methods optimize the covers, structure more reasonable and greatly reduce manufacturing costs.
