With the development of equipment of Raman,especially with the popularization of portable Raman equipment and the raman technology spread among the people.To build the database with these equipment becomes very important Now most labs of China have to import Raman equipments from abroad, and the database is monopolized by several foreign companies.So it's very important to build our database which belongs to China.We use advanced database software programmes to build the Raman spectrum databases.The databases have collected nearly five hundreds species of gems, minerals and drugs, ink marks and so on. It includes thousands of different Raman spectrum and related information. Several index methods such as the Chinese name, english name, chemical formula and other key words were used for searching, comparing and identifying of the measured or unknown iterms. It has intelligent program to support fuzzy search. In characteristic peaks search mode, One can enter the three most strong peaks to get the search result.It only costs several seconds to find out which information in the database is matched with the raman spectrum you have measured,The operator needn't be expert and the computer needn't be very expensive , then you can identify the composition of the mineral and which structure it belongs to.The function of the database can be enhanced, and the data information can be added into the database.The database can be used widely in detective, gems indentify, chemico-analytic etc.
