| Coastal zone is an interactive zone between the sea and the continent. There is a widespread study over coastal ecology because the location of coastal zone is special and preponderant and economy development of that area is in high-speed. The weak ecosystem of coastal zone is being threatened by the over exploited economy development, so it is necessary to evaluate the ecology risk of the coastal zone.The study of coastal zone ecology and environment focus in the investigation of the coastal resource and its environment, but there is little study on the evaluation of the ecology risk of the coastal zone. To raise the theory and method to the ecology risk of the coastal zone is the most important and necessary subject according to its special location.The coastal zone of Shanghai is located in the north shore of Hangzhou Bay, its location and ecology is very special. Its ecology is affected not only by the sea but also by the towns around.This paper focused on the Caojing Town, Zhelin Town and Haiwan Town in the coastal zone as the study area, raised the method and technical way based on the theory and method of Landscape Ecology and evaluated the ecology risk of the three towns, provided the science proof to the further development of the coastal zone. The main conclusion of this paper is showed as follow:Compared with the mainland, coastal zone is affected easily by water around, especially by sea or ocean. Natural disasters happen more frequently in the coastal zone than those in the mainland, and its ecosystem is more vulnerable, and highly sensitive to disturbance of nature and human activities.The ecology risk in Shanghai coastal zone ranks from high to low are: farmland and wetland, breed aquatics pool and woodland, river and lake. So it is necessary to enhance the protection of farmland and wetland area, and to control the increase rate of building land.The ecology risk rank in the three towns has get descending from sea shore to the continent, in 1994 to 2007. |
