The outputs of orange in China are increasing in recent years. The planting area of our country is the largest and the output is the third largest second only to Brazil and America in the world. China has became the biggest producer of orange in the world . The orange is made to beverage and can excluding eating directly. A few of crocodile skins are used to be Chinese traditional medicine and making essential oil. The most are discharged as offal. The crocodile skins go moldy easily. And it can do harm to human and domesticated animals and pollute the environment.It contains numerous flavonoid compounds in the tangerine peel. The contents of hesperidin are highest in the sixty different kinds of flavonoid monomers that have been identified. And it takes up about 5%. Hesperidin is a kind of flavonoid compound that has exact pharmacology activity and versatility. It was found after studied by many specialists home and abroad that tangerine peel was broad-spectrum. It can resistant oxidation , be of worth to eliminating free-radicals and againsting cancer, keep normal permeation pressure of vein, reduce brittleness of vein, curtail the time of hemorrhage, prevent CVDs, diminish inflammation, against bacteria and virus. Clinically, it is also used to cure or prevent acute bronchitis.The new method of abstracting flavonoid compounds (hesperidin) from citrous peel residue was mainly studied and the technics was optimized in the paper. flavonoid compounds was extracted from citrous peel residue by new technique -accelerated solvent extraction.It was found that the optimum temperature is 80℃, the optimum time is 5min, the optimum pressure is 800Psi, the optimum grain diameter is 60-80. The new method has the advantage of shorter extracting time and higher efficiency of extracting compared to the traditional method.The extraction was sublimated(hesperidin 69.47%),and then was used for experime nt of arthritis rats.The result indicates that the extraction medicament (150mg/kg and 75mg/kg) can markedly reduce the claw thickness of the arthritis rats(P<0.01) and can also reduce the TNF-αand IL-1βin blood serum of the arthritis rats(P<0.05).It indicates that the extraction which main content is hesperidin has obvious anti-inflammation effect.
