Recently, Persistent Organic Pollutants (POPs) have been a new focus of scientists all over the world. Their components, physicochemical property, hazard, migratory aptitude and transformation have been studied extensively through the hard work of scientists. Previously, in the field of POPs, the work was focus on its own quality and regularity, but in this study, 7Be was introduced into the POPs field of research for the first time. From Aug, 2006 to Jul, 2007, in the consentient 12 months, the team collected the samples for POPs and 7Be. We choose 3 days randomly every week, put the glass filter on to the collector of aerosols of the surface air at 8:00 am and retrieve it after 24hs. By this way, 3 filters were collected every week. We cut every filter into two, it means the 3 halves become one sample, in total 52 samples were collected when the project ended and the data of 7Be and POPs were corresponding. The thesis showed the new dates of POPs (OCPs,PCBs,PBDEs) and 7Be, and studied the relationship between POPs and 7Be in the in aerosols of the surface air preliminary. Our study paid more attention to the research of method. For the first time for this study, we summarized the artificial and inartificial factors which affect the relationship of POPs and 7Be, to support the far-reaching.In the first part of the thesis, the POPs, 7Be and the significance of the study was introduced, so that readers could have a basic understanding in this field. The second part introduced the procedures of this study, including the sample collection, experiments, data and so on. In the third part of the thesis, we analyzed the POPs and 7Be, and it showed the newest data; in the fourth part, we studied the relationship between POPs and 7Be, and explored the new methods of the 7Be isotopic tracer technique.POPs have been well studied in recent years, and the introduction of 7Be makes the filed and the isotopic tracer technique even wider. Further more, this study will lead more applications to the aerosols of the surface air, such as PAHs, SO2, nitrogen-containing compound, heavy metal, chloride, photo-chemical smog and O3 which we eager to do with. The method of 7Be tracer technique will bring more chances for the puzzles.
