Cellulose is the most abundant regenerative material, and derivitized products have many important applications, but cellulose consists of polydisperse linear glucose polymer chains which form hydrogen-bonded supramolecular structures.cellulose is insoluble most common organic liquids, the solvents which can dissolve with cellulose also are badly for environment.so the novel and green solvent 1-butyl-3-methylimidazolium chloride salts[BMIM]Cl for cellulose is very important. In this research, ionic liquids of[BMIM]Cl derived from 1-methyimidazole and 1-chlorobutane was synthesized in microwave oven with low-power and short time.At the same system,1-chlorobutane:1-methyimidazole=1.2:1 is the best molar ratio. The conversion is over 95%.The structure of[BMIM]Cl was characterized by infrared spectra(IR),hydrogen-1 nuclear magnetic resonance(1HNMR),carbon-13 nuclear magnetic resonance(13CNMR) and element analysis. In this paperr, three different cellulose without any pretreatment were readily dissolved in[BMIM]Cl heating in a microwave oven.Dissolution rates is oven 20%,and be formed as a viscous and colored solution. In the research,we discussed the possible dissolution mechanism. The dissolution cellulose was precipitated in the mixture of water and ethanol. In the research, the initial matrials and regenerated cellulose were characterized by infrared spectra(IR),scanning electron microscopy(SEM),differential scanning calorimetry(DSC),thermogravimetric analysis(TGA),X-ray diffraction(XRD).The results showed that[BMIM]Cl can be used as nonderivatizing solvents for cellulose. The cellulose can dissolved in[BMIM]Cl absolutely. The regenerated sample exhibits a lower onset temperature for decomposition, but gives a higher char yield. The decomposition rate is 6%-8%.In this paper,we also discussed that chitin and cellulose with chitin dissolved in [BMIM]Cl...
