Strobilurin fungicide is a sort of fungicide with low toxicity, high efficiency and broad spectrum. It is used as fungicide to treat the plant diseases caused by fungus, and can prevent the pathogenic epiphyte that has produced resistance to other fungicide, and has no cross resistance wih other fungicide that has been marketed in our country. And it degradates rapidly in plant, soil and water. Strobilurin fungicide is a new-type fungicide with market potential because it has the features of protection, cure, eradication, penetration, non- carcinogenesis and non- mutagenesis.In this paper, the synthesis processes of strobilurin fungicide pyraclostrobin (the chemical name is methyl N-[2-[[1-(4-chlorophenyl)pyrazol-3-yl]oxymethyl]phenyl]- N-methoxycarbamate) has been researched. The optimum synthetic route is made from 4-chlorophenylhydrazine hydrochloride and 2-methylnitrobenzene and make up of seven steps including cyclization, oxidation, bromination, condensation, reduction, acylation and methylation by summarizing a mass of literatures. And the optimum technological data, such as reactant proportion, solvent, catalyst, reacting temperature and time, etc., have been obtained through a mass of test. We used autoclave to do the reduction reaction that reduct nitryl to hydroxylamine many times, and researched the influence of stress, temperature and catalyst. so the step is the innovative point of this paper.At last, the chemical structures of pyraclostrobin and intermediate were confirmed by IR, HNMR, HPLC, MS and other test methods.
