In this dissertation, a method of composite particles' preparation had been discussed, which made nanometer-sized catalyst load on nanometer-sized inert carriers. This method prevented nanometer-sized catalyst from reuniting, and increased the catalyst's activity.Firstly, Copper Chromite had been prepared by coprecipitation methods and micro-emulsion methods. The reaction's condition just like stirring speed, reaction's temperature, time and pH value could influence the productions' granularity. The respondent rule between them had been investigated in this thesis. Then using the prepared Copper Chromite, composite particles had been made by machine-blend methods, dipping methods and coprecipitation methods. The composite particles had been characterized by SEM, TG-DTA and Micro Mastersizer. SEM and Micro Mastersizer analysis of the synthesized samples present the composite particles' different microstructure and granularity. TG-DTA test indicated the influence of the composite particles to the decomposition temperature of AP. Solid Propellant had been prepared using the composite particles, and its combustion capability had also been tested. The experiment demonstrated some conclusions as follows:(1) The catalyst and nanometer-sized inert carriers had integrated together very well as composite particles. The composite particles' BET Surface area, pore volume and dispersivity had been enhanced largely. This method prevented the catalyst from reuniting again, and the granularity of composite particles had also been well-proportioned.(2) The composite particles had improved the catalyst effect on the decomposition of AP, and the decomposition temperature of AP was decreased by 30℃~100℃.(3) Adding composite particles in solid propellant could increase its combustion rate, and decline its burning rate pressure exponent. In the end, the mechanism of composite particles' catalyse effect on the decomposition of AP had been investigated. It was considered that the composite particles acted as "catalyze bed" in the propellant's combustion process. It would accelerate the speed of gas-phase reaction around exterior, and increase the solid propellant combustion rate.
